1N5 is a non-profit organization who creates educational programs and campaigns regarding the conversation of mental-health. In the summer of 2019, they began to have Ambassadors for their brand. Ambassadors were expected to be from all over Cincinnati, and become their school’s leader in creating more of a conversation of mental-health. I became an Ambassador in July of 2019.
Since then, I have helped raise over $7000 for my school and mental-health programs, created a campaign with “DAAP Cares” (a community based organization at the University of Cincinnati) for schools across the city, volunteer monthly at events to help the brand grow and create a larger conversation about mental-health, and be featured on Cincinnati’s WLWT multiple times to be interviewed to help spread awareness for mental-health
DAAP Cares is a student-lead organization at the University of Cincinnati, whose goal is to collaborate on projects with organizations across the local area to better our community. During the Fall semester of 2019, I was invited to speak in front of the DAAP Cares team at UC and then was invited to become an official member of the team. The only High School student on the team.
The project we worked on was in collaboration with 1N5, a mental-health organization who creates educational programs and campaigns regarding mental-health. Our goal was to collaborate on a campaign to be placed into high school’s throughout the city of Cincinnati that start the conversation regarding mental-health, and making it known we all health mental-health and it is okay to talk about it. Being an Ambassador for 1N5, DAAP Cares reached out to me to be the middle-man in the process. After working a few weeks on the direction we were going we got split into 3 teams. I was part of the Social-Media team where we created the part of the campaign that would take place over 1N5’s social media pages.
